About
I’m a 21-year-old Turkish Cypriot journalist with a lifelong passion for digital storytelling and media. From an early age, I always used to record myself talking to a camera on my mums phone, whether that be pretending I was a news presenter, or talking about my day, I loved talking to a camera. Digital storytelling quickly became more than just a fun hobby for me, as it became how I expressed myself to the world.
Alongside that love for digital storytelling came a natural confidence in speaking. I have always been known as the 'chatterbox', never afraid to talk and stand in front of a big crowd. From being Year 6 President in primary school to then being Head Girl in secondary school, leadership and communication have consistently shaped who I am.
These passions naturally led me to study Journalism and Media at university, where what once began as hobbies evolved into clear career ambitions, which are now within marketing and social media content.
Throughout my degree, I’ve developed not only my editorial voice but also a strong understanding of audience engagement and platform strategy. Today, I apply that knowledge through being the Social Media/Marketing Manager for Waffle+Co, where I combine creativity and a strong understand of algorithms, to produce content that is both engaging and impactful.
